Bread Basket Bakery was established in 1982 and has been a staple in Downtown Saratoga Springs for over forty years. Its charming location and delicious sweet treats and lunch items have helped it win Best Bakery over multiple years, voted on by readers of Saratoga TODAY.

In 2020, Ed and Lisa Mitzen, the co-founders of the Business for Good Foundation, purchased the bakery, ensuring the original delicious recipes would be preserved. Profits from all sales are donated to local organizations including the Business for Good Foundation, supporting lasting community change and eliminating hunger and food insecurity.
